SFV
Policies |
|
SFV is an extremely structured clan who
believes procedures and polices help the clan run and function move efficiently.
This page showed a detailed explanation of all of our policies, from
activity to recruiting. We expect that all members know and read
this as this is a part of our government and our clan structure.

Clan
wide Policies |
|
Multiple
clans or indecision
|
If a member is found to be in multiple
clans, or is indecisive in choosing his loyalty, they will be disbanded
from SFV immediately, with no warnings given. SFV adopts a policy of one clan,
however members may be in SFV and another clan only if that other clan
doesn't support any of the same games we do.
|
|
Inactivity
|
Inactive members are determined by the use
of our Roll Call. If a member misses two roll call, the member is
considered an inactive member of SFV. If the member hasn't been to
the forum for two months their account will be deleted as well.

GC
Complaint or member complaint
|
A
Game Leader has the right to complain against any decision taken by a
member of the Administration. This complaint will be looked at by the
administration as a whole and a decision will be made. Even though
this is the case, each member of SFV must respect each other and their decisions,
especially their CO's. SFV is based on respect.
A member also has the right to
complain against any decision taken by a Game Leader. A member complaint is where the
members take power against a GL or higher rank. If 3 or more members
believe a decision is not correct, they may make a poll asking other
members if they believe the decision is correct or needs to be changed. If the decision needs to be changed due to members voting in favor of
the member vote, the GL must abide to this, or the Higher ranked
officer.
|
|
Member
commitment
|
SFV is run by its members, and not its
leaders, although we have some control and make decisions. If a member
is not happy, they should be happy to say this and no one will view them
as stupid. SFV is for you, not for the leaders. If a problem arises
between a member and a Clan Leader about a decision made, the member
does have the right to put a poll to the clan against it. Note,
however, that this must be done in a respectful manor or the
member may face expulsion from SFV.
|
|
Leadership
Problems
|
Because of our past, SFV Administrators
will now remove any leader which is found to have personal issues
against the clan administration, game leaders, and the members. If
a problem is spotted, the member will be warned to cease or immediate
demotion will take place to protect morale. This problem can only
be heard if dealt with in the proper manor and done in a mature fashion.
Once out of order, the situation will be closed and the member dealt
with immediately.

Recruiting
|
When recruiting a new member to SFV,
make sure they get all the info that is needed for them to progress
within the clan. The process for recruitment is as follows:
The active game may or may not hold tryouts. If a tryout is
required, the member must complete one before being accepted into SFV.
Trying times and dates can be discussed in game or on our forum.
If no tryout is required, the gamer should just come to our forum
requesting to join. It is up to the Game Leader on whether or not
to require in game tryouts.Once the
recruit has registered for our forums, he is to make a post containing
any and all essential information as deemed by the sticky post in the
Join Us forum. When members reply, they should only reply with
posts containing information to keep things more organized. Though
members can reply, it is the Recruiting Officers duty to see that the
member makes it into the clan in a timely manor with little problems. The new
recruit, and recruiter must display dignity and respect for others,
otherwise neither are welcome in SFV.
Recruiting is not limited to a certain amount of people nor is it
expected that people should reach targets for their games. The Clan
Leaders would like to see how many members Game Leaders believe is possible in a game supported by SFV.

|
Cheating
|
SFV allows no cheating in any form. Any member found cheating will be asked to provide a
full statement on the incident, the accuser to provide a full statement
and evidence. Cheating is classified as using a cheat program, or
exploiting a area of a game to ones advantage. Cheating is not defined
as "he rushed me in a no rush game", rather programs or hacks
which edit original game play.
If found to be true, the members IP
and Username will be deleted / blocked and SFV will apologize to the
person cheated, if possible. There is no member vote or GL complaint allowed here. A report of cheating should be submitted to the Game Commander of that
particular game. If the evidence is sufficient, the member will be
discharged.

|
MSN
(Messenger Service)
|
All members of SFV are asked to have
an active hotmail account and passport. This allows you to use MSN
(Microsoft's Messenger Service) which SFV uses as our main source of
direct contact with each other. MSN provides us with a easy way to
catch a member if needed ( for example, to ask a member for some details
or explain a procedure ) and also creates a small community like base
where people may talk about anything and get to know each other in more
detail.

Forum
activity
|
All members are required to post on the
forum once every week to show their involvement and dedication to
improving SFV. People should not spam post to
increase their rank. If found spam posting, the member will be warned
and offending posts deleted. A second violation results in
suspension. People who miss 2 roll calls in a row without providing a
reason to the Game Leader will be removed from SFV, however if they
vow to be active, they may rejoin with the rank of Recruit.
Members who do not post or view the forum for two months will have their
accounts automatically deleted.

Roll
calls
|
Roll calls provide important
information to Game leader, and anyone in the game structure and
leaders of the clan who may wish to check how many people are playing a
particular type of game, which games may need extra support or which
games are no longer active in SFV.
Members and leaders are required to
responds to roll calls which will be posted in the roll call forum on
the 15th of every month. They have from this day to the 20th day to
respond.
On the 20th day of the month, the post is locked. Game Leaders
must send a report to the appropriate clan leader. This information
is used for the Clan leaders to get a feel for how many members are
active in each game.
If a member or
leader missed 2 roll calls in a row they will be considered inactive
however may rejoin SFV with the rank of Recruit if they choose.

Game
nights
|
Game nights include practices, meetings, scrimmages,
etc. When a game night is arranged, or a day
set all members must attend, unless a reason is provided. Game nights
increase community and understanding of each other's ideas,
increase team play and better SFV with ideas being allowed to flow from
one to another and a general decision on the way forward to be made.

- Future Games - Games SFV may wish to
join however are not yet public
- Games in Progress (GIP) - Games that

considered active. Once achieved, the game leader should send
a PM to the Expansion General to see that the game is promoted.
- Active Game - An active game with 5 members and a leader chosen who are forum and game active.
If a game drops below the the required
5 members and a leader, it will be dropped to GIP status at the time of
roll call. It will remain here until interest is lost in
this game by the members and/or the clan administration. Games who
are in GIP status for more than two months will be removed from SFV.

|
Fleet

|
SFV Games must all have at least one named Fleet in the following format:
The "L" shown below means LETTER, such as SFV -Alpha.

Retirement
|
If a member is found to be inactive,
involving missing two roll calls in a row, the member is retired from
SFV. Retirement does not mean dismissal, only remove. The
member is free to rejoin at any time, as long as they will remain
active. This however does not apply if the member has posted in
the leave of absence forum. A Game Assisstantor above may retire
a member as seen fit.
|
|
Dismissal
|
If a member is found to have broken a clan
rule three times, or the offense was serious enough, the member can be
dismissed from SFV. Dismissal means banishment from the
clan. The member may not rejoin SFV under any conditions and this
stand is permanent was decided. Members can be dismissed from SFV
by a Game Leader or a member of higher rank.
|
|
Officer
Training
|
Any member of SFV can request officer
training at any time. All officer training requests should be sent to the Game
Leader in
which the member is active in. The Game Leader can choose to
train the member themselves, or they can ask assistance from the Assistant Game
Leader. At no time may a request for officer training be
ignored or denied. If one such request is ignored or denied, a
private message should be sent to the Administration immediately.
|
|
Game Training
|
At any time, a member of SFV can request
in-game training. In-game training involves being taught strategies,
unit weaknesses and strengths, and overall game play. Requests for
such training shall be sent to the Training Officer of the member's
active game. The Training Officer must train the member in a
timely manor or find an assistant to do so. If a member is denied
training, the CEO should be contacted immediately.

Boot Camp
|
All gamers wishing to join SFV Game go
through and pass Boot
Camp. This is a process that allows potential members to get
to know SFV and also for SFV members to have a chance to remove any immature
or undedicated gamers wishing to join. If you are a new member and
have not yet gone through Boot Camp, make a post in your gaming forum as
soon as possible.
|
|
Ranks
|
SFV members are treated equal, regardless
of rank. Though all members should be respected, it is important
to be extremely respectful to officers and the administration, as they
have a tough duty. Members in SFV gain rank by showing dedication,
maturity, activity both in-game and on our forum, recruiting ability and time spent within
the clan. Ranks in SFV are ONLY updated on the completion of the
months roll call.
